solution: the reason why students from the upper level (year 4 – 6) gave a positive result can be explained as follows. first, the researcher’s knowledge of arabic is better than that of the students. second, she was surprised that the students in the lower level (year 1 – 3) were not showing enthusiasm towards learning arabic even when the lesson was held in the afternoon. third, most of the students in the upper level are used to be taught arabic in a similar way because they are used to do the same activities as the students in the lower level.

this is because, not only it can be a good opportunity for parents to see what their children learn in their classes, but also it can be a good opportunity for teachers to judge their students’ abilities and if the student is having a good time or not. when observing the lesson, the teacher can also judge the students in the class whether they are willing to learn arabic or not. by doing this, the teacher can know the students for her future teaching if she will be teaching another class in the future or she will be assigned with another class in the future.

the teacher can also judge the students by their conversation. the teacher can judge whether they have good arabic grammar or not. if they are having a conversation in arabic, the teacher will have the chance to hear the language they are using, what they are talking about, and so on. if they are not having a conversation in arabic, then they are not interested to learn the language and the teacher can thus judge this.
